The School of Cool’s Pop Quiz: Sparkling Edition may have been structured as a tasting, but Christopher Waters’ opening notes posed a much bigger question: Is Canada a great sparkling wine nation?

Chris traces the evolution of Canadian sparkling wine from its early pioneers to today’s growing community of specialist producers, researchers and winemakers sharing knowledge from coast to coast. His conclusion is less about having arrived than about momentum: the climate, grapes and ambition are here, and the experience and expertise are catching up fast.
